Bow Wow: I Can’t Identify With Black Heritage Because I’m “Mixed”

He needs some Jesse Williams tutoring.

What in the world is Bow Wow talking about? In a recent exchange with a follower on Twitter, Bow Wow made some remarks regarding his stance on race and politics, and well, they’re pretty questionable.

By Bow Wow’s logic, since he’s “mixed,” that somehow removes him from the everyday trials and tribulations of being a Black man in America.

It all started when a Twitter follower asked the rapper if he was voting for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

“I don’t really care because after i learned what i learned about politics i just stay away… Let down,” he said.

That led to a user named @mfromthesfbay telling him, “you SHOULD care, based on the fact that your ancestors died so that you could have the right to vote!”

But Bow Wow wasn’t buying it. “Man i only believe what the eyes see,” he said. “Im mixed. I dont know what my ancestors was doing. I only know what i see!”

And that’s when things got serious.

“You don’t know what your ancestors were doing???” @mfromthesfbay asked. “Did your eyes see a movie called Selma directed by @AVAETC ??” 

“Yeah I seen SELMA,” Bow Wow replied. “Was i related to anyone no. Im sayin my moss side of family is NOT BLACK. Heritage different.”

This isn’t the first time Bow Wow’s had some scandalous things to say. Following Omarion‘s split from Apryl Jones, the 29-year-old was highly insensitive.
